Simple steps and instructions to make Torrijas at home
Come to the steps that you need to follow as you make a delicious batch of Torrijas at home. Let's get started, shall we?
Pouring the required quantity of milk into the pan. Add some sugar, a pinch of orange zest, and some seasonings like cardamom, cinnamon, star anise, and so on. Allow the milk to be simmered for about fifteen minutes so that the flavors of the spices get infused in it.
Now you need the slices of bread loaf. Soak them in milk, but not completely, so they get somewhat moist but not totally soggy. Now, take the bread slices and put them on a plate.
You need to beat the eggs now and place them in a shallow boil so that it is easier to marinate the slices in it. Ensure that both sides are coated well. Once that is done, it is time to fry them in oil. You can use healthy olive oil for this purpose. Fry on both sides and flip occasionally so that both sides turn golden brown.
Now, you need to leave these slices of bread on the paper towels so that the excess oil gets drained and soaked off.
